As of yesterday, the Community Geographies Collaborative is now also an approved AAG Specialty Group! This will increase our visibility in academic geography, provide a way for us to collect dues and make awards, and generally provide more long-term stability.

The CGC will still have an membership option outside of AAG. This website will remain our virtual home. You’ll be able to sign up for the group with an AAG membership, or you can still join via the Google form even if you’re not an AAG member. In the latter case, we will still request that you contribute dues through AAG using the donation option.

More details soon, but this is a great landmark in the development of this group and the result of hard work by our original steering committee and current board.
